Composer’s note: To me, Verse 38 is telling something that I seem to already know and deeply believe. It is about virtue, the hidden truth that people somehow acknowledge but choose not to see. The idea I wanted to express within this piece is that the interaction between the violinist and the actor is naturally created and balanced. It is so intimate that the violinist has to listen and respond to the actor while on the other side, the actor’s movement and speech are very closely connected to the music.
