About The Event
The Kyan quartet really does span the seas - Naomi (violin) from London, Sydney(violin) from Los Angeles, Wanshu (viola) from China and Simon (cello) from France. So they like to span the seas in the music they play, including pieces from British, Chinese, American and French composers in their programmes.
Formed in 2020 the quartet have held residencies with the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme, the European String Teachers Association, and the Borromeo Music Festival. They are mentored by Ying Xue of the Doric Quartet and have been coached by members of the Carducci, Chilingirian, Heath, London Haydn, and Piatti Quartets. They are also members of Le Dimore del Quartetto.
