Britten Pears Young Artists: Composition & Performance Concert

Join us for the culmination of a week-long exploration of new music and workshops of new pieces with a vivid programme in the Britten Studio.

Six brand new pieces, written and performed by Britten Pears Young Artists, are performed as 'works in progress' ahead of Aldeburgh Festival 2023.

This Composition & Performance course for composers, instrumentalists and singers has been a flagship of the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme since its establishment by Oliver Knussen and Colin Matthews in 1992, and gives participants a uniquely collaborative and in-depth experience of new music creation and the exploration of 21st century and contemporary repertoire under the guidance of exceptionally experienced, high-profile tutors.

This concert is in memory of John Sims, who supported the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme so generously.
